Al-Anon/Alateen Literature

Al-Anon Family Group Headquarters, Inc. publishes books, pamphlets, service materials, and a monthly magazine, The Forum. Local literature distribution centers purchase books in volume from AFG Headquarters to allow members and groups to easily purchase literature in smaller quantities. The literature distribution center for our Area is located in Boise and is referred to as the Literature Center. Groups and individual members may purchase literature at the office or order through the mail.

Many groups purchase and resell literature to members at their meetings as a convenience to their members. Location and hours for the Literature Center.

Here is a sample of our literature.

"Are You Troubled By Someone's Drinking?"	A pamphlet with questions about how alcohol may affect your life.

“So You Love an Alcoholic”	This pamphlet gives hope. It discusses the facts of alcoholism, how you can help yourself, how to help the alcoholic and other topics.

“The Dilemma of the Alcoholic Marriage”	This small book discusses the problems of alcoholic relationships and applies Al-Anon principles to relationships.

“To the Mother and Father of an Alcoholic”	This pamphlet provides answers to parents with an alcoholic child.

"Alateen – Hope for Children of Alcoholics”	This basic book helps young people deal with the effect of alcoholism and sobriety in their home.
